The plaid design is instantly recognisable as Scottish and is based on tartans made popular in the 1800s. Following a visit to Abbotsford, the famous historical author Sir Walter Scott’s ancestral home, on the banks of the river Tweed, we were inspired by his love of the Shepherd’s Plaid pattern.
